I haven't spent a lot of time examining how well things close but they close well enough for the time being. When I navigate to a 3D movie in EMC, and play the movie, all of my intros play fine (A few extra play but that is another matter) using the native EMC video player, then powerDVD is launched, my TV automtically switches to 3D mode, and my movie plays.

I also told the coverart plugin to apply a 3D overlay to movies tagged as 3D, and I have Cinema mode enabled, and configured to play a local trailer, an intro video, and a codec video. I setup a collection in Emby for my 3D Movies, tagged them as 3D in the metadata editor, changed the names of all of them to end with 3D MVC, and pointed emby to PDVD15 as an external player. So dumb.Ok, I have this working pretty well but not quite the way I like it (Because I'm too particular probably). I contacted support and they said the same thing and gave me a link for the previous 19 version. I'm using the 365 version which is a subscription service but is it the same as power dvd ultra 20. 3D was always exlusive to the most expensive editions of Power DVD. Maybe you're using a version where not all features are available. Going forward what video player, free or paid, do you recommend to play 3d movie files and one that can also output raw audio to receiver, atmos, dts, dolby etc.Ĭyberlink did not drop support for Stereo 3D, it's still available in Power DVD 20 and works with my 3D Vision monitor. trying to go back to previous version but no go as of yet. I just updated to the latest version to find out 3d has been dropped. Nice interface, outputs atmos surround etc.
